If you suffer from chronic pain, “awareness is the beginning of change”, says Eli Thompson, a licensed massage therapist who practices structural integration in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Eli took an interesting path in helping clients. With a background in martial arts and engineering, Eli was exposed to therapeutic massage, which ignited his love for bodywork. “I am regularly awed by the power of this work to transcend not only our physical limitations but also our ingrained psychosocial habits and attitudes. It is such a rewarding experience to witness my clients grow into themselves in this deeper sense,” says Eli.

In this episode of the Genius of Wellness podcast, Eli talks about how structural integration works, how he helps clients pay attention to their posture and body mechanics and how clients learn and recognize old habits that case pain.
