Patricia Hopkins, MD
Dr. Patricia Hopkins has been practicing medicine for 30 years. She did her undergraduate work at the College of Holy Cross and received her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. She serves on the boards of Health Information Exchange for the state of Massachusetts, the Physician Organization of South Shore Hospital and South Shore PHO. Her new book, The Unmaking of a Drug Dealer will be published this fall. In her spare time, Dr. Hopkins enjoys golfing, painting, hiking and traveling with her husband, four children and grandchildren.
John L Turner, MD
Dr. John L Turner is an Internal Medicine specialist in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. He attended and graduated from University Of Massachusetts Medical School in 1982, having over 35 years of diverse experience, especially in Internal Medicine.He is affiliated with many hospitals including South Shore Hospital. Dr. John L Turner also cooperates with other doctors and physicians in medical groups including Turner Medical Group.
Sharon Giordani, NP-C has been a nurse practitioner since 1999. She received her nursing degree in 1983 from Salem State College and did her graduate work at the University of Massachusetts. She is also employed in the emergency department at the Quincy Hospital. In her spare time she enjoys golfing and traveling with her three sons.
Maura has been a nurse practitioner for 10 years and brings a wide range of experience to our practice. She began her career as a registered nurse in an acute care setting at Mass General Hospital. After completing her training as a nurse practitioner at Boston College, Maura worked in the primary care setting with a focus on Geriatrics. At Hopkins Medical Group, Maura focuses on primary care with a special interest in Women’s Health. Our nurse practitioners are also well-versed in Rheumatology and closely collaborate with Dr Hopkins to care for patients with rheumatologic and autoimmune disease. Being a mother of four children, Maura has gained lots of first-hand experience in managing family health issues.
Cathy is a registered nurse who administers the infusion therapies patients sometimes require as part of their care. Cathy provides a wise array of infusion therapies including hydration, biologics and nutritional support. She brings both her excellent nursing skills and her reassuring manner to our patients’ care experience.
We recognize that nutrition and lifestyle play a crucial role in determining health so we have as part of our care team a registered nurse who has extensive experience in both these areas. Leslie spent the first part of her career as an intensive care unit nurse working in teaching hospitals including the University of Pennsylvania where she completed her undergraduate education. She then added to this knowledge base years of study in nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Functional Medicine. With this breadth of education and experience she collaborates with our clinicians to offer a truly wholistic approach to patient care.
Paula has led the administrative team at Hopkins Medical Group for 10 years. She provides our patients with a wide variety of important services from appointment check in to navigating the complexities of insurance to securing specialty referrals and handling their pharmacy needs. Paula ensures that the “behind the scene” services patients’ require are in place so their care is well-coordinated and complete.
During her 7 years with our practice, Leann has served in many roles including managing patient check out, providing administrative support and working as a medical assistant. Along with Paula, Leann supports our patients’ administrative needs and is a vital member of our team. Leann is diligently working towards her nursing degree and we look forward to her joining the practice as a nurse upon completion of her studies.
